Dave Headlam

Professor of Music Theory at the Eastman School of Music (since 1985) of the University of Rochester.

Dave Headlam has written on music post-1900 including the music of Alban Berg and George Perle, popular music, rhythm in music, and music and technology. His book, The Music of Alban Berg (Yale University Press, 1996, errata ), received an ASCAP Deems Taylor award in 1997. From 1996-2013 he was affiliated with the Music Research Lab in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Rochester.
